Update: And we are back with Illacrimo. Our intrepid designer just wasn’t happy enough with the way things looked, and had to go back and make it perfect.
I didn’t know that it wasn’t already, but then again, that’s why I am not a designer.

We have a great three column theme for you called Illacrimo. Created by Design Disease, and released here on LifeSpy. It is the third free theme that Bloggy Network has released. Illacrimo has a strong color set, that should appeal to many, and works well with the plugins we have included in the download file, or without.
Supporting plugins like:
- Gravatar
- FlickrRSS
- Pagenavi
Make sure you put them in the right place and activate them if you want the full Illacrimo experience.
This theme, like all themes released by Bloggy Network are released under Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License.
Currently, you can check out a live version at Design Disease.

I have problem with this theme. I have put my userid and password at http://malaysia-scholarship.net/wp-login.php but the dashboard doesnt appear. I see blank page ..can anyone help me.

Hi there,
I have downloaded the widget ready version of this theme. Every time I update the back end on get the following error.
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /ozzicom/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/illacrimo_wr/functions.php:24) in /ozzicom/public_html/blog/wp-admin/theme-editor.php on line 55
The update works but I am wondering if this can be resolved.

Scott, you have to turn off the pluggable plugin to stop that error, or remove the plugin that was copied into functions.php.

Hey Elena,
Just installed the theme today and its ballin, but I’m having same problem as Scott. I deleted the extra plugins in the funcitons.php but i still get this error:

Remove functions.php, download and install this plugin from this location. http://dev.wp-plugins.org/browser/recent-comments/trunk/recent-comments.php
Let me know if that is working.

getting rid of functions.php gets rid of all the errors and the recent-comments plug in works fine. now just have to get the widget capability back.

i found the fix in the comments of the widget enabled theme. guess i should have checked their first. i just had to get rid of a space in the functions.php file inbetween the widget settings php and the recent comments plugin php.

I’ve got one more question. I really like on the pages tab how when your home the tab is highlighted in white. However on the tabs for other pages you add like an ‘about’ tab for example their is no highlight. I was wondering if there was a way to modify the theme to add this.

Dan, I have no solution yet for this. Our programmer is working on this issue and i hope he will find a way to fix this.

I just wanted to say thanks, the theme looks awesome. I love it.
I’ve been looking around at themes to use in the redesign of our blog and I’ve looked through literally hundreds of themes, both free and premium, but decided to use this one.
I haven’t applied the redesign on our blog yet, but I’m going to upload and activate it this Sunday. So you can see the before now and after then if you like. The website is http://www.webaddict.co.za
Be warned though, I’ve adapted the theme quite a lot to fit in with the look and feel we’re going with.

I like the theme very much but the problem is that this theme has 2 columns and the contents are not fitting properly in the theme. I hope you will release a 1 column version of this theme very soon.

I’ve modified some this template to use it in my blog.
I’ve changed some widths of the post and the sidebars, because the original theme don’t have so much space for the post.
But I have a problem with the blogroll. An arrow appears before the title, it must be for this common problem as which it had WordPress (I use a free blog service, and I cannot change anything of the site by FTP, also it uses WordPress 1.3)
I use de Sidebar Widgets plugin.
How can I take it from him?

Can I use this theme for WordPress 2.3? I’ve installed the theme for my blog http://www.minterest.com/. It’s great but I have only one complaint…. Go to a specific post and after the page is loaded fully just place the mouse pointer over the “Post your comment” Button. It have some error.

Seem to be having a problem with this theme and it invalidating the RSS feed. If I switch to another theme I can get to it fine, and was able to go that route to create a Feedburner feed, but when I go back to this theme it shows an error. Click the site above and look at the Entries Feed to see the error. It states a few problems when I try to validate it, but I am just not sure what to do with the problem.

Any ideas as to why it does it with this theme and none of the others I try? I can’t get a comments RSS to work either to make a Feedburner feed with.

That is the widgitized version I’m using BTW. Just can’t find the file where all the stuff they say wrong is at…lol
Looks like it is something silly like a space at the top of the .php file, but I haven’t found the code yet.

Thanks for the great theme, but I have a question. I solved the problem with the header warning message, but now I am trying to figure out the plugins native to the theme (flickr, gravatar,…). Should they be showing up somewhere in admin? I am using the widget version.

I have installed your awesome wp theme on my blog, this theme did not work if open by using IE! I got an error on it.
It’s only worked well on Firefox or Mozilla browser. Safari also did not work well.

Just remove line 24 of the “functions.php” file, in the theme folder. You may think “it’s just a blank line”, but that really matters for your browser.
(By the way, you can also delete the line before, which contains “?>” sign, and the line after, which contains “

But when I download the XML from here: http://themesblogger.blogspot.com/search/label/0 and use it in Blogger, it seems to be problem with the date. Instead of 21 Sep (like demo, beside the post title), it was Friday Sep???

Awesome theme. Unfortuantely, the standard “illacrimo 1.01 by Design Disease” version gives I.E. 7.0 (XP SP2) an error:

Is the skin incompatible with Internet Explorer? Because it looks fine in Firefox, but in IE the sidebars don’t appear until after all the main posts.
I’m using Wordpress 2.3

No it is not. There are to many incompatibilities when we are using the css in IE. In your case you need to check your sidebar BOX by BOX and testing in IE… Your content from the sidebar might be larger than its allocated width. Check the original theme again and test it.

Was having problems with the header error, too. Thanks for the help guys! Another Illacrimo theme in action…haven’t utilized Flickr yet, but will. This is a site dedicated to helping my school clients with WordPress and Web 2.0. As so aptly said in Bruce Almighty, “this is a B-e-a-u-tiful theme.” Thanks Elena!

i realize when i put in youtube in the post, the 2 columns tend to be pushed down ie gets out of alignment.

I have a problem with the sidebar being pushed down to the bottom as well. I disabled all plugins, still an issue. As I went through different months though, not all did it.
I took one of my months, and started making posts private until the problem went away.
I found that using Italics in my post killed the sidebar?!?! I’m not sure if this sounds stupid, but after finding the post, I removed EVERYTHING, bit by bit… the last thing was the opening and closing italics tags… and voila the sidebar was up top again. I added them back, back to the bottom the sidebar went.
I have made NO modifications to anything. Running WP 2.3
I went through all of the posts, but not sure if I saw this addressed, or even listed as a problem.

To fix the IE6 issue, you need to make sure if you embed YouTube or imgs that they are not too large.
If I embed YouTube videos now, I drop the size down by 1/3 or 1/2 and the IE6 problem goes away.
Not the best fix, but it does work.

In preparing to launch a new business, I must have looked at 500 themes. Some of them were quite good but none has impressed me like Illacrimo. It’s beautiful, functional, and relatively easy for a non-programmer like me to customize. Thank you very much!
Earlier in the comments you mentioned that you are working on an update for Illacrimo (Albeo?). Is that still something you plan to release, and if so, when? I ask because I don’t want to modify your current theme too much if an upgrade is coming soon.

Excellent theme, but could use some enhanements:
- highlighting of current page is non-standard and could simply be done by css, just add these lines:

I’m having the same feed problem as Joe above. There’s a blank like at the top of my page that’s killing my feed validation. Other themes work fine. How do I remove that blank line?

I’m using this incredible theme on my blog an I want to thank you for the great work you did.
But I also have a little Problem. I want to change the size of the coloumns but I don’t know where I have to change the vaues.
The first one should be broadened 10-20%
The second one should be broadened -10% and the third as well -5 to 10%

fantastic theme. i trawled the web for days looking for something suitably slick and professional, and fully expected to have to pay for one before i found this. glad i paid a visit here too as i’ve managed to sort out a couple of bugs - the old line 24 thing.

I’m confused. I’ve downloaded the theme, installed it and everything works fine. I have a problem with the Flickr images though. I’ve added my ID and the images are displayed but not the same way as per the demo version of the site. My images are all croped together, next to each other without any spacing between or mouse over effect. Where am i going wrong?

BUG REPORT!!!
Hi I downloaded the Dilectio Theme and found what I think are some bugs - - not sure where to post but here goes:
1. When selecting any other page than the HOME tab, the white box disappears - (shows up when hover) - on all selected pages other than the home page.
2. When the password protection is activated in a post, the design looks fine, but when the submit button is pressed it goes to: wp-pass.php but nothing appears. (Blank page)
3. If I click on the post’s link for a password protected page - the page layout is all messed up.
